Analyzing Employment Status of Bachelor of Science in Criminology Graduates of Wesleyan University-Philippines, Academic Year 2019-2023

Abstract:
This research analyzes the employment status of Bachelor of Science in Criminology Graduates of Wesleyan University-Philippines, Academic Year 2019-2023. It aims to assess the employment status, nature of employment of the graduates through time. The research explores the skills and component of curriculum that becomes useful in their workplace. The study utilized quantitative research employed by descriptive method that assist the researchers in gathering data using adopted questionnaire through online platforms from research and development office with stratified random sampling method. The findings revealed that most of the graduates had continuously attending seminars and training regardless of their current career track, however majority of the respondents are working in private sector. In addition, the study found that “confidence in one's ability to perform a given task effectively” was a developed skill during pre-employment days. Furthermore, field works became beneficial part of college stage in terms of practical application that aid the graduates to succeed on their chosen profession. Subsequently, the researchers determined that several criminology graduates succeeding in different line of work.
