First-Order Model for Determining the Characteristics of the Λc+ Baryon
Author(s): JJ Bevelacqua
Abstract:
The ALICE Collaboration recently addressed the existence of the Λc+ baryon. This group noted that the hadronization of heavy quarks constitutes an important probe of the quark-gluon plasma.
The Λc+ is investigated as a weakly coupled udc structure. This baryon’s mass and spin and parity assignment are defined utilizing the methodology of Zel'dovich and Sakharov. The first-order models provides a set of Jπ values including the experimental 1/2+ value. Model mass predictions are within 8% of the experimental value.
