Abstract:
The registration of births and deaths is a critical function of civil administration, ensuring accurate demographic data and enabling effective planning and resource allocation. However, in many areas, traditional manual methods of registration are still in use, leading to inefficiencies, delays, and data inaccuracies.
This study focuses on the design and development of an online birth and death registration system for the Central Clinic in Mansa District, Luapula Province. The system aims to digitize the registration process, ensuring accessibility, efficiency, and data reliability. By leveraging modern web-based technologies, this project seeks to address the challenges faced by the current manual system, such as record mismanagement, accessibility issues, and lack of timely updates. The implementation of an online registration system is expected to streamline the registration process, facilitate better reporting, and enhance access to vital registration services for the residents of the district.
