Abstract:
This review explores optimization strategies in the simultaneous equation method for pharmaceutical analysis, emphasizing the technique's role in determining multicomponent mixtures. The simultaneous equation method, a spectrophotometric technique, is based on Beer-Lambert’s law and involves formulating and solving linear equations to quantify individual components in a mixture. This method is valued for its simplicity, cost-effectiveness, and non-destructive nature, making it a staple in pharmaceutical quality control. The review addresses current challenges and advancements in wavelength selection, absorptivity determination, and computational methods. It also highlights innovations in sample preparation and instrumentation that enhance the method's accuracy and efficiency. By integrating advanced technologies and interdisciplinary approaches, the simultaneous equation method's applicability and reliability in pharmaceutical analysis can be significantly improved. The review provides insights for researchers and practitioners to enhance multicomponent drug analysis, ensuring the safety, efficacy, and quality of pharmaceutical products.
