Abstract:

This study examined the relationship between travel duration and task completion habits among Grade 11 STEM students at Young Achievers’ School of Caloocan, Inc. during the school year 2025–2026. Using a quantitative correlational design, data were collected from 100 randomly selected students through a researcher-designed questionnaire that used a 5-point frequency Likert scale. Task completion habits were measured across three domains: deadline adherence, time allocation, and schedule adjustments. Results revealed that students more frequently reported experiencing long commutes compared to short ones. While deadline adherence was relatively high, time allocation and schedule adjustments were weaker. Pearson-r correlation analysis indicated weak but statistically significant negative relationships between travel duration and each of the three task-completion subscales: deadline adherence (r = −0.218), time allocation (r = −0.234), and schedule adjustments (r = −0.206). These findings suggest that longer commutes are modestly associated with reduced.
