Abstract:

When designing, specialists must take into account the mechanical, physiological and functional characteristics of users, so that a correlation, a relationship, can be achieved between the dimensional characteristics of the human body and those of car bodies. These are mandatory requirements, implemented with the aim of ensuring and increasing comfort, the feeling of hospitality and the pleasure of driving or being transported in a safe means of transportation. The present scientific research has been carried out by the authors with the aim of highlighting the importance of soundproofing and soundproofing by various methods of the passenger compartment of road vehicles, so that the acoustic and vibrational comfort of the user is one that meets current quality standards. In this way, those interested can get acquainted in the context of the work with theoretical notions about sound, its propagation velocity in fluid materials (gases, liquids) and solid materials, acoustics and acoustic comfort of road vehicle users in the passenger compartment and the purpose, role, methods and materials used for soundproofing and sound insulation of car bodies. In the paper we have also treated a case study based on the active type experiment method (second-order compound factorial experiment method), on the level of noise immission in the passenger compartment of four cars, two with gasoline engine and the other two with diesel engine. Specific conclusions are drawn at the end of the paper.
