Abstract:
Mangroves, resilient coastal plants, are known to produce bioactive compounds with significant anticancer effects. These compounds, which include various phytochemicals, hold promise in the treatment of ovarian cancer by inhibiting tumor cell proliferation and inducing apoptosis. Different mangrove species possess distinct chemical compositions, enhancing their ability to suppress tumor growth. By targeting key cancer pathways, they effectively reduce tumor proliferation and promote cell death. This review highlights the need for further research to better understand the specific mechanisms of action and therapeutic possibilities of these compounds in the treatment of various cancers.
