Acute Gastritis in Patients Admitted to the Saint Joseph De Miabi General Reference Hospital

Abstract:

Objective

This study was conducted with the aim of investigating the factors that promote acute gastritis in order to contribute to improving the health of patients and making our contribution to universal health.

Materials and methods

To carry out this work, we used the data collection sheet as material. This was developed based on our study parameters, on a sample of 80 patients. We opted for the retrospective method supported by the documentary analysis technique. This is a descriptive cross-sectional study. This study was carried out at the Miabi General Reference Hospital, a territory and health zone of the same name, in the Kasai Oriental province of the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Results

This work reveals that self-medication is the most common factor with 45% and the frequency of gastric ulcers was 18%.
