Abstract:
This study presents a descriptive analysis of employees’ innovative work behavior, emphasizing the strategic role of human capital and the significance of innovation in enhancing organizational competitiveness. Utilizing a quantitative descriptive research design, data were collected from 170 employees through a modified version of the Innovative Work Behavior Scale, based on De Jong and Den Hartog’s (2010) four dimensions: idea exploration, idea generation, idea championing, and idea implementation. Data were analyzed using SmartPLS version 4.0 for Windows. The results reveal a high level of innovative behavior among employees, reflected in their active involvement in idea development, process improvement, and performance enhancement. Demographic analysis shows that the sample was predominantly male (54%), with the majority having 6 to 15 years of service (85%) and representing Generation Y (81%). These findings highlight the critical need for organizations to cultivate an innovation-supportive environment to sustain long-term growth and maintain competitive advantage.
