Determinants of Income among Ethnic Minority Populations in Bac Kan Province, Vietnam

This paper analyzes the factors influencing household income among ethnic minority populations in Bac Kan province. Using multivariate regression methods and primary survey data from 150 ethnic minority households in the province, the study finds that the educational level of the household head, vocational training, access to credit, non-agricultural employment, and the scale of productive land have a positive impact on household income. In contrast, household size and the proportion of dependents tend to negatively affect income. Based on these findings, the paper proposes several policy recommendations aimed at improving the income levels of ethnic minority households in Bac Kan and reducing income disparities among ethnic groups in the study area.
