Abstract:
This study examines the challenges and success strategies of thrift shop entrepreneurs in City of Cavite, focusing on financial status, marketing strategies, store location, and inventory management. Using a mixed-method research design, data were collected through surveys and interviews with thrift shop owners to provide both quantitative and qualitative insights. Findings reveal that while consumer financial status plays a role in purchasing behavior, other factors such as effective marketing, store visibility, and product variety significantly contribute to business success. Many thrift shop owners face challenges, including high competition, financial constraints, and fluctuating customer spending habits. However, those who leverage digital marketing, offer promotional discounts, diversify their product offerings, and establish strong customer engagement tend to experience better business performance. The study highlights that adapting to changing market trends, particularly the growing preference for online shopping, is crucial for sustainability and growth. It recommends that thrift shop entrepreneurs embrace e-commerce, improve branding strategies, and continuously assess consumer demand to remain competitive. By understanding key success factors and addressing common challenges, thrift store owners can enhance profitability, contribute to local economic growth, and promote sustainable consumer practices in City of Cavite.
