Sociodemographic, Behavioral, and Factors Environmental Hazards Associated with Malaria in the Health Zone of Lubilanji, Democratic Republic of Congo

Abstract:
Objective
The objective of this study is to contribute to the reduction of the number of cases of malaria through the analysis of sociodemographic, economic, behavioral, and environmental factors associated with malaria.
Materials and methods
The quantitative cross-sectional study with analytical aims took place in the city of Mbuji-Mayi, specifically in the LUBILANJI health zone. It studies the links between some sociodemographic, cultural, economic and behavioral factors of the population and malaria. The data for this study are collected using a questionnaire designed based on our study parameters So, in this study, we used a positivist paradigm. It concerns 422 subjects.
Results The presence study reveals that the occurrence of malaria is associated with factors following behavioral factors: lack of insecticide use (p=0.000), not sleeping not under MILD (p=0.000), presence of stagnant water in the plot or its surroundings (p=0.000); presence of weeds in and around the home (p=0.000).
