Abstract:
In today’s globalized economy, English is essential for communication and career success. However, many Vietnamese graduates struggle with English proficiency, particularly in practical use. To address this, universities are reforming English teaching methods, though most innovations focus on the four key skills-listening, speaking, reading, and writing-while grammar instruction remains overlooked. The communicative approach has proven effective in grammar teaching, allowing learners to apply grammatical knowledge in real-life situations. A strong foundation in grammar boosts confidence, enhances academic performance, and supports overall language development. Integrating communicative methods into grammar instruction is crucial for improving learners’ ability to use English effectively in both academic and professional contexts.
