2025 – The International Year of Quantum Sciences and Technologies

The United Nations (UN) has proclaimed 2025 as the International Year of Quantum Science and Technologies to commemorate the centenary of the development of quantum mechanics, one of the most fundamental theories in contemporary physics. This initiative was driven by the recognition that quantum physics has not only revolutionized our understanding of the universe at the microscopic level, but is also at the forefront of emerging technologies that promise to transform many aspects of modern life. This article aims to make some considerations about quantum physics in the year of its centenary.
