Sustainable Tourism Development in Hai Phong City

As a key coastal economic hub in Northern Vietnam, Hai Phong boasts diverse tourism assets, from stunning natural scenery to historical sites and cultural landmarks. However, challenges such as rapid urban expansion, environmental deterioration, and inadequate infrastructure hinder sustainable tourism growth. This study explores the current state of tourism in Hai Phong, examines sustainability-related issues, and proposes strategic measures for long-term progress. Using both qualitative and quantitative approaches-such as surveys, expert interviews, and policy evaluations-the research assesses tourism's environmental, economic, and social dimensions. Findings highlight the importance of ecotourism development, improved governance, and greater community involvement in ensuring Hai Phong's tourism industry thrives sustainably.
