Author(s): Intan Munirah, Roslaini Ramli, Suhaimi, Mahfud
Abstract:
Sexual violence is generally carried out by men (men) against women (women) who are physically weaker compared to their male opponents. Sexual violence, even though it is carried out through physical violence, namely in the form of coercion or pressure, the impact can also disturb the soul or psychology of the person who is the victim. The magnitude of the impact caused by sexual violence, where it is not only a physical impact or loss, also has a psychological impact. Therefore, acts of sexual violence must be prevented as early as possible in our everyday environment. In preventing acts of sexual violence, the community plays an important role in it. On the other hand, if community participation is minimal, this will make victims vulnerable to crime or sexual violence. However, in reality, not all communities actively participate in preventing sexual violence. So, it would be interesting to study in depth the role of the surrounding community in preventing acts of sexual violence.
