Sustainable Heritage Tourism Development in Sa Pa: Current Situation and Solutions

Sa Pa, famous for its majestic natural landscape and rich cultural heritage, is one of the top tourist destinations in Vietnam. However, tourism development here faces challenges in heritage conservation and ensuring sustainable development. The study aims to assess the current status of heritage tourism development in Sa Pa and propose sustainable development solutions to protect local heritage values. The study points out the imbalance between tourism exploitation and cultural conservation in the context of increasing commercialization and pressure from large numbers of tourists. The study used field surveys, interviews with local people and experts, as well as data analysis from existing documents to propose specific solutions to improve sustainable development for heritage tourism in Sa Pa, while encouraging local community participation and raising conservation awareness. The research results contribute to building a sustainable foundation, combining heritage conservation with economic development and environmental protection.
