Author(s): Alfredo D Alave, Francis Jose D Bearneza
Abstract:
The aim of this study was to identify the regression model that would explain the relationship between high school math teachers' performance and stress in the province of Negros Occidental in the academic year. 2020 and 2021. The figure was created by forecasting the correlations between the factors and looking at earlier studies in this field, where some relationships showed greater stability. The modified Teacher Stress Inventory and Teaching Performance Questionnaire were distributed to the teachers, and they responded to them. Descriptive statistics were utilized to assess the stress level and effectiveness of high school math teachers, whereas means and standard deviations were employed for descriptive data analysis. Utilizing multiple linear regression, the aspects of stress that are predictive of teaching performance were identified. Teachers have moderate level of stress while their teaching performance was high. Regression result showed that time management, using technology, and fatigue manifestations predict the teaching performance. These insights underscore the importance of targeted interventions aimed at addressing these stressors to enhance overall teaching effectiveness and promote teacher well-being in the dynamic landscape of math education.
