Improve Housing Policy for Migrant Workers from Rural to City

Abstract:
In the past decade, the process of strong industrialization and urbanization has led to strong population growth in urban areas. Industrial parks, urban areas and the dynamism of economic sectors have created many jobs, attracting a large number of workers from rural areas to migrate to urban areas to find jobs.
Migration has become the choice of people to improve their livelihoods and create business opportunities and it has become an indispensable component in the typical development process for the interrelationship between regions and territories. The migration phenomenon is an objective factor. However, its downside is affecting the urban development process in an unsustainable way due to lack of housing, forming illegal boarding houses and "slum" housing areas in urban areas big city like Hanoi city. This is a complex social problem, the government and all levels of industry need to pay attention to come up with appropriate solutions, suitable to the specific conditions of our country.
Therefore, in this article, the author has deeply analyzed the housing situation for migrant workers from rural areas to the city and proposed some solutions to improve housing policy for this group of people in the future next time.
