Acceptance of Cryptocurrency in Central Banks: International Proof

Abstract:

The article brings a new perspective on a factor that is rarely mentioned when mentioning CBDC access in Vietnam and around the world, which is the complexity of the economy.

Using a global sample of 122 countries with 4 income levels from low to high during the period from 2014 to 2021. To have the most objective view, the research team has come up with the most influential factors. impact on the relationship between economic complexity and CBDC adoption. We find that economic complexity has a significant impact on CBDC adoption. Specifically, middle-income countries will have a stronger impact of economic complexity on CBDC adoption, while high- or low-income country groups will have a reduced impact. There is a positive relationship between economic complexity and CBDC.

Studying the interaction between economic complexity and CBDC adoption has the potential to make important contributions to the fields of finance and economics. Combining economic complexity with CBDC adoption is multidisciplinary and multimedia, requiring experts from many different fields to work together. Besides, the interaction between economic complexity and CBDC adoption can open up new innovation opportunities to improve efficiency, growth and sustainable development of the economy. Furthermore, studying their interactions will allow researchers and financial experts to better understand the impact of CBDC adoption on the economic development and potential of economies around the world. Finally, studying the interaction between economic complexity and CBDC adoption provides insights and direction for financial policy managers and policy decisions related to CBDC implementation. The results from this study can also help guide future economic development and industries.
