Kundalini Yoga as Represented in the Sri Chakra

This paper attempts to study the process of awakening of the Sri Chakra in the human body through yogic practises as described by the venerable eight century saint Adi Shankaracharya in his work Saundarya Lahiri. The diagrammatic description of the Sri Chakra, the representation of Shiva-Shakti in its evolution as the Cosmos, as also as the Sahasrara inclusive of the six Chakras in the individual and the ascent of the Kundalini through meditation have been discussed.
